Why should I pray if God already knows everything?

By Matthew (Tolu) Olowoyeye

Scripture

Philippians 4:6-7; Matthew 6:8

Prayer is not about informing God — it is about being with Him. He knows what you need before you ask, yet He invites you to ask because He wants relationship, not just transactions. Prayer changes you: it shifts your worry into trust and your fear into peace. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer, present your requests to God, and His peace will guard your heart. Talk to Him like the loving Father He is.

Prayer

Father, thank You for meeting me in my questions. Give me wisdom to understand Your truth, faith to trust You where I cannot yet see, and grace to walk it out today. Anchor my heart in Philippians 4:6-7; Matthew 6:8. In Jesus' name, amen.
