How can I know that God is real?
By Matthew (Tolu) Olowoyeye
ScriptureHebrews 11:6
Faith is not a leap into the dark; it is a step into the light of evidence already around you. Creation itself argues for a Creator — the fine-tuned order of the universe, the moral law written on every human conscience, the universal human hunger for meaning that nothing material fully satisfies. These are signposts, not proofs that force belief, but pointers that make faith reasonable. Yet God has not left us with arguments alone. The deepest evidence is personal: the historical person of Jesus Christ, His death, and an empty tomb that changed frightened disciples into bold martyrs. Christianity rests not on a philosophy but on an event you can investigate. Most people who come to certainty do so not by winning a debate but by responding to what they already sense. Faith grows by use, like a muscle. Begin to seek honestly, and you will find God meets the sincere seeker. Scripture: — “He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Take this step: This week, pray a simple, honest prayer: “God, if You are real, make Yourself known to me.” Then start reading the Gospel of John, asking that question as you go.
Prayer
Father, thank You for meeting me in my questions. Give me wisdom to understand Your truth, faith to trust You where I cannot yet see, and grace to walk it out today. Anchor my heart in Hebrews 11:6. In Jesus' name, amen.
