Does God still love me when I keep sinning?
By Matthew (Tolu) Olowoyeye
ScriptureRomans 5:8; 1 John 1:9
Yes — completely. God's love for you was never based on your performance, so your failures cannot cancel it. Scripture says that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. He loves you in your mess, not after you clean yourself up. That does not mean sin is harmless; it wounds you and your fellowship with Him. But the way back is always open: when we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us. Run to Him, not from Him.
Prayer
Father, thank You for meeting me in my questions. Give me wisdom to understand Your truth, faith to trust You where I cannot yet see, and grace to walk it out today. Anchor my heart in Romans 5:8; 1 John 1:9. In Jesus' name, amen.
